Du passé faisons table rase

Confondere la melodia dell'Internazionale con quella di O Tannenbaum non è facilissimo, ma il Guardian c'è riuscito:

"We inadvertently stated that Tannenbaum is the tune of the Internationale (Ring it up, Life, Online, page 18, yesterday). It is the traditional German tune mostly associ ated with the socialist song The Red Flag (as well as the carol, O Christmas Tree, and the state songs of Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, and New Jersey). The tune of the Internationale was composed by Pierre Degaytre in 1888".
